SALVATION MOUNTAIN, CALIFORNIA
So, right after the Asian trip and once I've been back in California, few of my friends and I decided to make a short trip to Palm Springs. We first pushed it to Salvation Mountain in the desert close to Salton Sea and about an hour away from Palm Springs. You're reading sea and seeing colourful waterfalls, but guys, it's more than 100℉ there so be prepared if you are ever going to the Imperial County...
Waterfalls & desert vibes.
If you would like to get more information on this awesome location, here is the official website of Salvation Mountain and of its creator, Leonard Knight.
Knight died in 2014 and so the future of this visionary environment is uncertain as it does require regular maintenance.
I personally discovered this place from the movie Into the Wild. Below is the scene that has been filmed there.
